Publications and reports

REACH is building a rigorous research and open-science program. Accepted conference work is listed below; completed publications, technical reports, datasets, and reproducible releases will appear here after public release.

Two abstracts have been accepted for poster presentation at the ISES 2026 Annual Meeting of the International Society of Exposure Science, held at the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre in Vancouver, British Columbia, from 4 to 8 October 2026. Both draw on the same analysis of NHANES biomonitoring data. Titles and authors only: ISES publishes accepted abstracts in the meeting programme, and putting the full text up beforehand can cut across embargo and copyright terms, so the rest waits until the programme is public.

Unsupervised Representation Learning Reveals Five Multi-Chemical Exposure Profiles in US Adults from NHANES

    Donovan Santine1 (presenting), Vibhu Kanna Rajesh Kanna1, Karthik Peravali1, Arjun Jaana1, Aryan Roghani1, Vy Nguyen2, Justin Colacino3

In plain terms: people carry many chemicals at once, not one at a time. This groups US adults into five exposure profiles based on the combinations they actually carry.

Data-Driven Multi-Chemical Exposure Phenotypes from 52,063 NHANES Adults Replace Default-Conservative Single-Compound Assumptions with Empirical Co-Exposure Profiles

    Donovan Santine1 (presenting), Vibhu Kanna Rajesh Kanna1, Karthik Peravali1, Arjun Jaana1, Aryan Roghani1, Vy Nguyen2, Justin Colacino3

In plain terms: chemical safety guidance is mostly written one compound at a time. This asks whether it should instead reflect the combinations people are exposed to together.
